t3hmax0rhax0r
Hello everyone, I am new to the community, but very interested in installing OSX86. The only problem I am having at the moment, is, after mounting the image and creating a virtual machine in VMWare, the free partition is not recognized by Disk Utility.. because the laptop drive i suppose is a SCSI drive. I would really like to install it on my laptop using the VMWare method.. but.. I am not sure how to prepare the partition so the OSX installer can see it. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. homie4u
1. Start a new virtual machine in VMware Workstation 2.Instead of choosing "Typical", go for "Custom" 3.Click next and choose "Windows NT" 4.Change the following settings as you wish (I believe you know then already) 5.AND THEN! When it ask you to choose a virtual disk type, choose "IDE" 6.Allocate the space as usual. 7.You are done! You will be able to a new partition in the Disk Utility now!
