Alessandro17
just a dumb idea that came to me:P First to vote and I voted "no", of course. However when I had my first internet connection ever (in the UK) it was AOL. I was with a cable telephone company (what later became NTL) and AOL offered the cheapest unlimited dial-up connection, if not the only one. Of course I was also a newbie and I didn't quite realize what AOL stood for, at first (meaning in term of values). When I moved to Leeds I had my first broadband connection with NTL. eggie
i had aol ( in australia) and it was the worst provider ( although it was dial up) you couldnt surf for more than 10-15min and we were always on the phone to them complaining to aol i think we ended up paying for only 2months out of the 6 that we were with them we complain so much and they canceled the charge on the bill for that month after that we went to unlimited cable (with a different isp)......not a porblem with it so i vote no
gtsmith
Voted no...used AOL for three weeks back in '94 when i built my first 386 PC...it had a 800 BAUD modem...i thought the experience of chatting with folks from around the country was amazing...i was hooked - not on AOL, the internet. Prawker
I hate AOL, but i love AIM, the parents insist that AOL MUST be installed on Windows, their just to stupid to know how to use gmail and firefox because AOL's bloated simplicity has spoiled them... :censored2:
