Matthew Jason
Greetings, I have already done with the installation of MacOSX on VMWare, how do I then, transfer the HDD installtion to the real HDD so I could boot it native? Is it possible in the first place? Thank You. Matthew
munky
You have to tell VMWare to use the real HDD in the first place, and do your install directly to it.
fabioxx
hi, does it works also if the hard disk (sata) is attached to an unsupported promise raid controller (the asus p4pe's one)? during native installation no hard disk is detected, so i would try vmware + real HDD, and there is a guide too i saw on tutorial, but don't know if i can. bye. Is it possible in the first place? Actually, this is relatively easy to do. See this tutorial (the second half is about transfering the system using dd and a Linux live CD) http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry253493 The system still won't boot if HD controller is not supported. I have used this trying to get Intel ICH8R to boot native without success. Hangs at the "still looking for boot device" hi, does it works also if the hard disk (sata) is attached to an unsupported promise raid controller (the asus p4pe's one)? I'm sure you can transfer the system this way, and try putting device ids into info.com.plist files I've tried it with an unsupported promise ultra133tx2 ide card as my new box only has ICH8R on motherboard. Figured IDE was easier, but still no joy for me. gnubeard
Use "qemu-img" or some other tool to convert the .VMDK vmware HD image into a 'flat' (or raw) image. Raw-write the image to the disk.
