So OS X was being {censored} are would not shut down, So I manually shut it down with my iPod in, now my drive is corrupt and now I have to restore it. Unfortunately I get a 1418 error when trying to restore this. I have an iPod photo. It would see it so messed up that when I sync it it reverts to Black and White mode. I am so screwed aren't I? Help would be appreciated.

try to erase it in with disk utility first, then use itunes to restore
