wildd86
I've got Vista successfully installed on a Boot Camp partition on my iMac, but I want to run Parallels with that partition. When I install the new Parallels beta, I try to setup a Boot Camp VM, but it doesn't work with Vista so I do so with XP and then change the OS to Vista later. This still doesn't work. Any ideas? tops
Vista isn't supported yet. Vista is now supported in the latest beta. Make sure your HD is mounted and that the Vista partition is Active.
wildd86
How do I make the Vista partition active? Is there something specific I need to do?
jrrjrr
You can set the active partition by using the Startup Disk section of System Prefs. All it is doing is setting the "active" flag in the partition table. The active partition is also the one Boot Camp will load by default if you don't hit the Option key while booting up. rlabarca
Are you talking about RC3? On my MBP C2D I have Parallels set up to boot vista from my boot camp partition on IDE 0:0. It tries to start but then says unable to open disk image Boot Camp. Startup disk is set to Vista. Any other tips?
wildd86
I tried all of this and still didn't get anything. I'm having the same issues with the image not opening.
xcuneytx
I was wondering if you could install Parallels if you have already Vista with Bootcamp in which Vista is cracked.. this means an install of Vista which has been cracked.. no productkey entering and cracking it afterwards, can you do this also with Parallels...?
