Hagar
Hi.. in connection with some messing about with virtualisation, I have found myself engaged in a fruitless search for that good ol' spyware companion BonziBuddy.. Since the world woke up to its evil, it has become very difficult to find. Has anybody got a copy of the 7.7mb (or thereabouts) installer? There are stub installers in the 350k-2.5mb region, but they all attempt to connect to now non-existent installation archives online. if anyobody has this or knows of a working link, I could stop this foolish quest & get on with my life.. joe75
As soon as I seen the title of the thread I had flash backs of that stupid purple ape I didn't even know people still used that, I can look around.
De-Rail
Hagar, I don't quite understand why you would want to download that nasty piece of spyware. Are you going to just play around with it for nostalgic purposes? lol At any rate, you could try searching the Wayback Machine's archived version of the Bonzi site and see if they didn't cache the file. Good Luck

And then there's the guy by the same name who's been lurking around the Leopard forum, giving dire warnings that Apple is caching our IP addresses and will sue us for piracy. I hate that guy. Hagar, why do you even want it? Is it for testing or something?

I hate that guy. Hagar, why do you even want it? Is it for testing or something? Heh.. you're you're concerned about "BonziBuddy" telling you your ip is being logged? Like This? Doesn't that seem strangely ironic? In any case, I first wanted it out of curiosity, I ran some of the installers in crossover, but like I said, they're incomplete. I remember when it was everywhere and you had to make an effort to avoid it.. seeing that it is apparently eradicated from the entire internet got me searching and... well now I can't give up... De-Rail
And if that doesn't work, Limewire 1.9b had the option of installing bonzi buddy from what I've been reading.
Hagar
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Network...y_Download.html its 7 something megs did you actually get a download? I never get anything more than 4k off that. As I said previously, I have found some .exe's but never the full item. [Edit] I looked on oldversion.com for limewire, but none of them are large enough to contain BonziBuddy, so it must be an online install option which.... no longer works.. I may try it anyhow on the off-chance that it installs off p2p where there may still be a copy floating around..

joe75
I looked all over and they're all dead You'll probably have to find someone that still has it stashed away on an old drive thrown in the back of a closet. I remember when that {censored} first came out and I had to search around for a way to get rid of it :censored2:
