alloutmacstoday
well, you can, but only hacked  no actually, anyone with leo CAN, but then their computer will go into kernel panic, or whatever
mifki
i run leo on my hack as well, actually on all of them , and x86 is intel, so no need to refer to it as a x86 kernel, because osx86 is techincally os x on intel, and if u {censored} ur kernel up, well u can boot with the dvd and replace it, but i always make a copy of my kernel and call it mach_kernel.old before i update, so i can use it just incase  Edit: My pc never went ito lockdown either lol

Adrian Fogge
Amazing how much misinformation some people spew out trying to sound like an expert. Â My personal favorite is... "i know you can't do leo on a hackintosh"

joe75
You cant use 8. kernels on a system that needs 9. kernels  *We're going way off topic*  I want 4.9 official so I can get it going on AMD Edited February 12, 2007 by joe75

glassJAw
So you can just replace the kernel with the new one and it will work??
Adrian Fogge
For the most part, yes. Â There really is not that much that changes Kernel-wise between dot releases. It is generally improved hardware support plus every once in a while a security vulnerability fix. Â Usually, Apple throws something in there that will try to thwart the "community" but it is just to easy to unbreak it.
Suzuka
I got 10.4.9 a bit ago, I see no changes so far, anyone have a list of changed things?
asap18
Its more "making whats in the os now perfect" since 10.4.9 is the long term support release when apple upgrades to leopard. Thats why they have so many new revisions.
