nimb0z
~/Volumes/NAME OF DISK/IOUSBFamily.kext/ /System/Library/Extensions/ says: No such file or directory /Volumes/NAME OF DISK/IOUSBFamily.kext/ /System/Library/Extensions/ *~ removed* says: ...is a directory (not copied) I'm running the Jas.SSE3 intel only image. If I reinstall and select all addons from "customize" would that help? UPDATE: ah great. guardian06
hi all! im running almost the same system tha diabolik, and i did something like he said on his first post, everything is working, before that i tryed an amd 64 sse2 and works verty bad, with asus mobo no sound, video only vesa 3 (agp) but since i was investigate what hard combination will work the p5ld2-vm with core duo seems to be the best and i was right! there are things to upgrade but works all!. i connected a digital camera to usb and aperture opened, its just fantastic, and mi xbench result 127 points! now i want 2 things, some good games and a good logo for bios screen, here are my specs p5ld2-vm se (core duo support) intel c2d 2.13 ghz 2 x 512 mb (1 gb) and no slowdown performance 1 x 120 gb windows sata2 1x 160 gb windows sata2 1x 80 gb osx! sata2 asus 7300GT 256 mb with natit 1280x1024 working asus dvd rw 1608p mtek power supply 480 watt very stable common keyboard and optical mouse good luck all! postaldave
"asus 7300GT" did really need that card. i thought the onboard video on the mobo would run everything. or is it that the 7300GT works better?
DiaboliK
the onboard GMA950 is sufficient for normal everyday use, like movies and the web and stuff. you can upgrade to a better graphics card, just remember at this point nVidia's are pretty much favored over ati's in os x (its easier to install, and i myself prefer nVidia cards) if your going to go for the budget but good card get the 7300 series if for gaming get something like the 7600 or higher just keep in mind that the 512 mb card are having real hard problems getting to work so stick with the 256mb cards. FavleX
@Diabolik I got a MB asus K8V-X, with the usbport not working, do you think your IOSBFamily kext posted could be useful in My System/Library?? there is just present anotheer IOUSBFamilykext..but I don't know ... Thanks for your time, and for your good Guide! @Diabolik I got an Asus MB K8V-X with the usb port don't working. Your IOUSBFamily.kext posted could change my system in the right direction? I checked, I got a IOUSBFamily in my /system/Library just in there , but no luck at the moment.. Installed from the last( I suppose..) Jas 10-4-8 intel AMD sse2 sse3 DVD. guardian06
favalessa: i tryed a k8v-x last year with an amd64, the mobo is not very powerfull on osx, and sound isnt 100% working, the video well.. agp gart u going to need, the usb patchs are on this forum just search, but dont expect too much (at least last year was that) TO: THE GUY WHO NEED 7300GT man, for apple games isnt necesary the best graphic card, the 7300 GT SERIES works perfect with all apple games because no directx just opengl drivers use the osx, but if u want good fps and quality the GT series rocks not only 7300gt, but that is cheap and powerfull, and of course asus has good video cards, alsoarexfx, evga, msi etc, use the natit installer 1.0 (no previous version of natit installed eh!) good luck Guardian

biopolimer
Hello DiaboliK I have also problems with my USB keyboard and Mouse! after installing "Jas 10-4-8 intel AMD sse2 sse3 DVD" the problem is that as soon as it boots is asking me to plug a keyboard... with a nice MAC keybord diagram... and I have tried 2 diferent keyboards... mouse is also not responding, so I don´t even have the chance to enter OSX... I guess the whole USB system is not working.... any suggestion! thanks!!

I skim read your posts and thought you had a 7300GT which shares the same G73 core as the 7600 series (just with half the pipes disabled). The other 7300 models use a G72 core and are a different kettle of fish, that might explain the sleep... maybe? rubysolo
What are my chances of getting this to work with an Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 PCIe graphics adapter? I'm currently running triple head linux on an old AMD (unsupported by OSx86) with that card running 2 heads and a GeForce FX 5200 running the other. I would like to build a P5LD2-VM system and run triple head OSx86 with the onboard video plus my Quadro. Long shot? EDIT: I think the Quadro's two screens appear as one double-width screen to the OS and the card handles splitting the pixels, so this might technically still be a dual-head setup. kle500
Finally today i installed and although the install went smoothly, I have 2 problems. I did downloaded and proceed as described the Paulicat's smbios, did exactly what you mentioned, but in system info, Hardware is not correct. I have an e6400, but system info says 1.8ghz. I did install with the exact same .iso Also, i did installed ALC882_AppleHDA_v0.4b.mpkg.zip, bus sound is not clear. I have heard that before, but, now that i have installed AppleHDA, can i try Azalia method? (i believe only Out works, but sound is very clear).
