uzerzero
I have an HP Pavilion dv6113us laptop, and have been playing around with getting Mac OS x86 installed on it natively. I used Myz's DVD for MacOSx86 10.4.6. Running through VMWare, everything works perectly: WiFi, USB, DVD, etc. However, I want to copy the VMWare disk to an actual physical partition. I haven't had much luck finding any guides for this, so I figured I would ask here. Any help would be appreciated, as I love Mac OS (I'm posting this from Safari, even though it's slightly slower) Thanks in advance!
macgirl
Check these: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 Tech|ZONE's Guide Explains the Vinc0r DD Method with screenshots. from Wiki page at: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...s#10.4.1_Guides
uzerzero
So, I followed the guide. I attempted to use my USB drive, but the Mac OS installation won't recognize SCSI drives. I then attempted to use my physical drive in my laptop, and use a spare recovery partition (the recovery program is already burned to DVD). However, the Disk Utility won't allow me to mount any of the partitions on this drive. So, any help would be appreciated.
dong
Then you can only use a linux to do the dd thing. The so-called SCSI drive is listed in linux under VMware. But you should make sure which partition is your destination partition.
