How are you mounting install disk? Looks like you are having trouble accessing file system on install disk. VMware does not like either physical DVD or direct access to ISO. Problem with hfsplus file system. What works for me is installing Daemon tools. Tell VMware to use direct physical access to Daemon virtual drive. Mount iso using Daemon tools.
