FreakyMac
Ok, Theres been some comotion around the forum about 'Problems with iTunes 7 for SSE2' but theres no problem for the SSE3 People so, i did some research and i decided to make a guide for all the SSE2 people out there so Shutup, sit down and listen. 1. Install iTunes 7 (DUH ) 2. When you click it, it might say like 'Not enough memory' bummer but do this 3. Open Terminal and do EXACTLY as posted: cd /Applications 4. Then put THIS EXACTLY! ditto -arch ppc iTunes.app iTunesPPC.app (This Will Make another iTunes but with the Name 'iTunesPPC'. That means U have another iTunes but the Runs on PowerPC archetecture but this tutoral isn't over) Then when its done, Exit Terminal 5. Go to Applications -> Right Click iTunesPPC (not ur other one) -> Show Package Contents -> Contents -> Right Click 'Info.plist -> Open With -> Other.. -> Find TextEdit (or watever text program u have) 6. Once your in textedit look for the follow line (should be at the Bottem): <key>LSMinimumSystemVersion</key> <string>10.3.9</string> <key>LSRequiresCarbon</key> <true/> <key>LSRequiresNativeExecution</key> <true/> 7. Change to: <key>LSMinimumSystemVersion</key> <string>10.3.9</string> <key>LSRequiresCarbon</key> <false/> <key>LSRequiresNativeExecution</key> <false/> 8: Then after your done, SAVE IT 9. Delete 'iTunes' (Not iTunesPPC) 10. 0k Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor. Then Look for 'iTunesHelper' Highlight it then click 'Quit Process' then if a Pop-up comes up click 'Force Quit' then Empty your trash. (if U skipped this step then a Pop up bubble saying 'iTunes Help is in use, D0 THIS STEP! Then Delete iTunes 0ff your dock 11. Go back to Application and find 'iTunesPPC' and rename it 'iTunes' 12. Then double-click it and PRESTO it works (if it doesn't, look over the steps) P.S: Reboot and in ur Applications Folder, There should be no cancel mark over it I would like to thank Everyone at the iTunes 7 Problem thread" iTunes 7 thread Good Luck
