benjs
Hi everyone, I'm running an HP Pavillion m7680n Media Center Edition PC with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, and an Nvidia GeForce 7300 NE, and am trying to make my computer dual boot with Windows MCE, and Mac OS X. I'm using VMWare on the physical drive (my primary), a JAS image and patch (mounted with Daemon Tools) for Mac OS X 10.4.7. It installed, however, when trying to boot from the hard drive, using -f, I get an error stating "Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 85". If anyone can help me get past this and try and get this system up and running, I would be glad to surrender an Oink invite, or if two people can sufficiently help me, I'll give both of the ones I have left. Thanks in advance Edited January 15, 2007 by benjs
asap18
Does it work from vmware?
benjs
I have only tried with VMWare, and these results are what VMWare has given me.
Kevlar
I would ditch the whole VMWARE idea. Get yourself a spare harddrive and throw that in there.. That way you can setup everything natively.. Grap the latest JaS DVD off your favorite torrent site, and set your new harddrive to be your boot drive in your bios.. This way, if you screw up 10,000 times, you can always just format your OS X drive and try again, not having to worry about screwing up your Windows drive. The money spent on a new drive is well worth the headaches it will save you later down the road.. But make sure you ditch the 10.4.7 and get the latest 10.4.8... Let me know what else I can do for you... (yea I need an oink invite, willing to really help you) =)
