Front Row

OK, so it seems that the only screen I can't see correctly is the sweet front screen that you choose Photos, Videos, etc. If I blindly use the cursor keys to change the item that is selected which I can't see, and hit enter, the menu list pops up. I just watched a Movie Trailer. Dang, it must require QE or CI to get the entire experience...

Here's a clip of my console log which shows errors from Front row....

No Frontrow for me either, I get the same yellow graphics and weird animation. It can't play itunes due to error in connection with it. Basically, unusable.

I've heard you need the 6.0.1 update, maybe you already have it. The graphics look perfect, but then it crashed my kernel, I got one of those "You need to restart your computer now" messages.

Wow! Thanks for the link.

Well, due to lack of QE and CI, I get the yellow screen on loading. However, if you click left or right then hit enter, the menus come up just fine.

Everything is very responsive on my R3000Z laptop with an AMD64 3000.

The iTunes integration is smooth...

Just as a note, I still have the original 5.0.1 iTunes and the stock Quicktime.

I plan on trying the movie trailer function next, but just wanted to post this in case it corrupted my install.

Once those drivers are ready (I know, its a big if), this baby is ready to fly.

Well, no explosions...

As predicted, both the movie playing function and the movie trailer function worked perfectly. Just drop the movie in your movies folder and boom! The movie trailer function works in conjunction with iTunes, I like, very slick!

Though I do have to disclose that I haven't tried Media Center.

Same here, it works -without QE and CI-

but you wont see the menue. I can hear them swap, when I press the arrow keys, and I can also see the sub-

menues. But the eyecandy menue is displayed as kinda yellow screen.

All in all this app is not a musthave. All it does is to link iTunes, iPhoto and iDVD in one Menue with big letters. wow. ;p

If you want top try, do not forget to upgrade your BezelServices.framework first, and

of course you have to have the maxxus 10.4.2 patch installed, and do a repair

permissions with the diskutility.

Why do you need the 10.4.2 kernel, since it's a PPC app?
