Read Apple docs ( though they are TECHNICAL.) try man man or man ls or something, read some pages, and play around. It has many GNU commands such as GNU ls, GNU dd.. a bunch of Apple commands. newfs, hdiutil, diskutil, disktool etcetera. Play around, it's fun.
