DiaboliK Posted January 6, 2007 Share Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) I have made a installer for a fix for Sound Out (Green Jack) on ALC880 systems it will fix all ALC880 systems with: <key>IOHDAudioCodecVendorID</key> <string>0x10ec0880</string> and <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x27d88086</string> (Based on Rammjet's ALC882 Tutorial) just run the installer then restart ALC880.Azalia.Fix.v2.pkg.zip tested and working on a Commell LV-677 so let the list continue. *edit fixed the installer to work perfectly without any other steps than restart* Edited January 28, 2007 by DiaboliK Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The OSX recognizes I have a sound card and I can play with all the options in the Sound menu under System Preferences however I still cannot hear anything from my speakers no matter how high I turn the volume up. RaMDaY Posted January 29, 2007 Share Posted January 29, 2007 (edited) My head phone jack is outputting sound however the speaks built into my laptop are not. Any idea how to fix this? Setting my using audiomidi setup is a no go because it doesn't let me choose anything other than what is set already. DiaboliK Posted January 30, 2007 Author Share Posted January 30, 2007 (edited) the only way to fix this is to either follow skippyretard's appleHDA.kext fix for 880 but usually that didnt work for me so. i guess we will have to wait til taruga actually reads my email and helps me how to figure out the port configurations for the AppleHDA.kext fix for some 880 machines that dont follow skippyretard's method since it dosent work for me. Also the volume control keys work!!! THIS is the only package you need for audio.
