x512dev
Hello, I'm trying to install X.4.7 in VMWare using the "Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack" package. I keep getting an error saying that it cannot find "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist'". This seems to happen only when I try to hit F8 at darwin (I want to pass -v to the kernel to make it verbose). When I don't try to press F8, and I just let it boot, it hangs for 10+ minutes at the screen with the grey apple logo. Any suggestions? The ISO image itself looks like it's the right size... -

x512dev
Ok, I did what it said, but how long should this be taking at the apple loading screen? It's been there for over 15 minutes and this is a relatively fast system (2.66GHz Pentium D) -
macgirl
You need to boot with -v or -s option to see if an error stops your boot process, like "still waiting for root device"
