comune
Well, I hope you can help me. Laptop Toshiba M70 with intel centrino 1,86gh, VMware 5.5. Reading the forum I succeded in: - Installing the OS X 1.4.6 on a 20 gb VMware virtual partition (other, other, no network, PAEVM = TRUE); - choosing the right OS X install (Intel, SSE2): I also choosed ATI mobility radeon support, is it right? (I've got a Ati mobilility radeon X600 SE) - activating the partition using the terminal utility in the installation DVD and the commands described in the forum. Finally, the OS boots regularly within VMware, but after the grey screen with the apple I only obtain a blue screen with a cursor, and that's it.....it hangs there, the only possible thing is moving the cursor all around. Any advice about this problem? Thanks Comune
macgirl
Choosing any ATI option on the installer has no effect on VMware because the graphic inside Vmware is emulated and need a VMware driver that is not available for Mac OS (only for some other OS). To see for potencial problems boot with -x or -v options. Also visit this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314
