EDIT 10-01-2007: Just wanted to let everyone know that these kexts work perfectly under 10.4.10 using the 8.9.1 kernel. I would imagine they work on the 8.10.3 kernel also, but i am not running that one because i need speedstep support. Enjoy all!

Slightly off topic, but which 8.9.1 kernel are you using that supports speedstep?

I followed the steps and went smoothly without errors. One thing I noticed that an icon near the digital clock suddenly appeared. When I click it, I saw a greyed text with the model name and brand of my PCMCIA Card. By the way I have a 3COM 3CRPAG175 Wireless Lan Card. There also an option there "Power off Card".

Is that indicates that i made my wireless card working? When I go to my Network Settings, I didn't see my Wireless Card there..

Please someone help me... Thanks

the kext still work 100% in Leo ..

If you boot via Netka's EFI loader, in your PCCard kext plist exchange ADPI2,1 with Mac ..

Hi Bugs,

long time no see ;)

I'd like to ask you which kext works for you under Leo? I tried some of them and finally get my card recognized, but I lost my broadcom WiFi.

Is there any way to patch original 10.5.1 kexts (IOPCIFamily & IOPCCard) to make it work ?

(my device is VEN 104C DEV 8039)

Thanks in advance and best regards!

I tried these on the kaly 10.4.10 and worked great but there seemed to be conflicts between something and the atheros drivers.

Just converted kaly to ChaOSX86 and these kexts give kernel panics.

BOO :)

i want my TIxx12 :(

Uphuck 10.4.9 is hopefully done downloading soon.

OK it seems to me that atheros pcmcia is NOT compatible with 10.4.10 using these kexts for pcmcia.

results in 391 cpp error, 10.4.8 results in 445 cpp error...

I've tried two distros.

NEED glitchman kexts to make PCMCIA work with 10.4.10 and no version of IO80211Family.kext works woth 'em.

Tested 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.8, 10.4.10, 10.5.1

WG511T ar5212.

Is it possible for me to compile my own?

thnx glitchman!!!!!

i've finally made it!

installed whole kext set (only iopci and iopccardnetwork is not enough) and i've edited kext using hexedit.

my o2micro OZ711MP1/MS1 MemoryCardBus Controller (1217:7134) works flawlessly.

i've tested a cardreader, a firewire800 and a wifi card.

regards

Trying to install at my friends Packard Bell notebook right now but it isn't working, where in de IOPCIFamily.kext do i need to change the Device ID? Can someone give me a guide on this? And how do i find the device id, can i find that in windows somewhere?

Again, great work! :censored2:

Hello,

I'm looking at the Info.plist file, and it isn't obvious at all to me where to put the vendor:id string. The closest line I can see looks like this:

<key>IOPCIClassMatch</key>

<string>0x06070000</string>

I have the same Cardbus controller as you - where do I put what values, please? Is '0x06070000' replaced by '0x12177134', or ?

Thanks,

divineSeeker
