Hardware Profiles for OSX?

right, after a lot of googleing, 2 faulty linux distro CDs and bad nvidia drivers, i have finally got Ubuntu 6.10 on my system. what i plan to do is have ubuntu running natively (which i do) and in 2 other partitions, have XP and OSX.

i have installed Vmware on ubuntu, and i want to virtualise my partitions.

XP allowed me to do this nifty thing where, on booting it up in a VM, i could choose to use VMware drivers or native drivers (which solved a HELL of a lot of problems).

i have already configured OSX in vmware to use pass-through networking and 128MB of VRAM. is it possible for my to use a different set of drivers i.e when i boot up in vmware, i use vmware drivers, but when i boot natively i use native drivers?

it sounds like a hell of a lot, but any input would be welcomed.

thanx in advance,

jordn.
