Hmmm iTunes 7 isn't running, saying there is not enough memory left. Anyone else got this also? I had this on 10.4.7 also, so I reinstalled and kept Itunes 6, but I thought the problem was solved with the new kernel? I got 786 MB Ram, don't see the problem.

nobody said it was solved so far i have seen 100 people " complaining" itunes still didnt work

They work on it now but it is gone need some time, ok a bugged test version only for spcial tesetrs exists but not for us, not in this state usefull anyway.

:thumbsup_anim: exp5 works very well for me. :thumbsup_anim:

Much better than exp2.

Even QE/CI seems more smoother. (Must be my imagination)

I could now install & run the 2006-007 Apple Update (+Myzar Patch).

Dock, Finder, iTunes, Colloquy now all work well.

These did not work earlier with the older kernels.

Thanks Again !!!

...so is there gonna be a full package coming out with all of this in one semthex? An SSE2 ver with the 8.8.1 kernel?

I am not a packager, programmer you know :2cents:

Is the SSE fixed so that Itunes 7 now runs?

It should do so.

JaS has a DVD all ready to go. Just waiting on a stable/final SSE2/3 kernel to put into it.

As his channel says in IRC: "Won't release until sse2 kernel is 100% ready "

Guest goodtime
Thanks, I really want to get the Natit/Titan kext to work so I can get CI/QE on my GeForce 5200, 2.56GHz Intel P4 SSE2.

Any ideas how I can get that up now?

I would just be content with Hardware OpenGL on Radeon 9200 Mobility.

I just installed the latest kernel and I need help, im having a kernel panic on startup. Running Intel Pentium M 1.2Ghz with Intel 915.

Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies):

com.apple.iokit.IOPCCardFamily(1.6.2)@0x331cd00

dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCCardFamily(2.1)@0x2d2ff000

com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform(1.0.5)@0x2d37d000

dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCCardFamily(2.1)@0x2d2ff000

dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.2.0)@0x2d31b000

com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.1)@02d2ff000

Do I need to remove these? How do I remove them?

do NOT remove all of them. The only one causing problems is IOPCCardFamily

to remove, boot any old install dvd. open terminal. type the following:

sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCCardFamily.kext/ /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCCardFamily.kext.backup/

reboot and you should be ok unless you forgot to delete any of the other probloimatic kexts (appleintelcpumanagment is another one yoiu need to remove).
