What do you want to see in the iPhone? Flip, or slider? Built-in hard drive, or room for flash cards (both?)? Two different versions: business and music geek? What colors? Click-wheel, QTRY keypad? Discuss it all.
The biggest thing i'd like to see is ichat integration. I'd love to be able to connect with my mac with bluetooth and use my iphone to talk to friends on ichat. and one-click dialing in ichat to friends with an iphone (look out skype!). also, integration with .mac would be cool; photo/pod casting to your blog straight from your phone? maybe even a mobile iTunes store. (i really hope someone from apple read this)

I want to see Slider. I don't know about a build in hard drive, if it does Apple will probably go big and have something like 30GB, and phones have music and often video so it will defeat the purpose of an iPod, and I don't think Apple wants that. So maybe build in memory and room for more SD cards. Touch-screen I hope. I don't think a keypad is needed, just the normal buttons and such (or if it's touchscreen you can just write the numbers/letters in). 802.11b wireless networking and a iTunes mobile that lets you share music between your ipod and iphone through bluetooth (bluetooth ipod?).
iChat integration for sure.
I was sorta thinking of adding a iSight camera and having it be a video phone, but I don't know if Apple wants to go there yet. Although video conferencing would be nice to fit in with iChat.

i think a slider would work the best.
oooooohhh, they could totally put an isight up in the earpiece and then have the lcd screen become the other person...

or they could use that idea, and make it a part of the iPod lineup. Most likely wont happen though.

totally agree wth trav, they will most likely go with no more than 4gb on the iPhone and i wouldnt really want it any more, too bulky. i need a phone too so i think i will hold out, the reason i dont have one is that i have lost 3 cell phones, dont know if it is such a good idea to get the iphone but i have an ipod for almost 3 years now and i havent lost it yet, well i did lose it for a whole year in the back of my friends suv but the point is i have it back now. i just want it to come out along with the iTV

I just want a simplistic phone, which retains full iPod capabilities. Nothing fancy or too showy. Something like the RAZR combined with the body of the iPod. White goodness, cool keypad, big screen, offering standard phone functionality.

As much as everyone is going to kill me for saying this. If they would add Copy+Paste, I might consider getting it.

screen extended to fill 'home' button and earpiece area (home button can be placed elsewhere - perhaps become the whole screen like the new trackpads?), sides slimmed down, hard drive option, faster processor and a more stable OS
