Korrupted Posted December 9, 2006 Share Posted December 9, 2006 So I installed WC3(patch 1.20e) on my 10.4.8 partition for kicks and the game plays fine, except for one problem: I get no sound. Yes, the sound options are all checked, the volume on each is max, and my sound works system-wide. Any ideas? Oh, and yes it's a legit copy. Specs: Pentium 4 3Ghz(SSE3) 1GB RAM 200GB HDD GeForce 7900GS Intel HDA 8.8.1 kernel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cyclonefr Posted December 12, 2006 Share Posted December 12, 2006 This is a known problem by Blizzard using the LATEST patch for War3 (ie .E one). Nothing you can do about this, it seems they are working on a patch, an Universal Binary one, which should address all those problems and which is "coming soon". You never know how soon is with Blizzard While waiting, you could always play it under Crossover, it runs wells in OpenGL (as good as in Windows), except sometimes when you left click, the game freezes for like 2sec which isn't that great for a RTS :/ But I find it better than using the slow Rosetta.
