Warcraft 3 - Doesn't work with Hackintosh

Hey guys, i'm trying install Warcraft 3 at my computer, but after install i tried run it, but after the screen darkness, the system return for finder and say than occurred unexpected error and close the game. So i cannot run Worcraft same after the upgrade for the Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne.

 

guys some idea?

I'm under the impression that everyone has that problem with Warcraft 3 on the Intel Macs.

 

Eh... not mine. :ninja: 2.33GHz C2D 15.4" MacBook Pro, 2GB RAM. Installs and runs without a hiccup. Haven't had a single problem so far. And performance under Mac OS seems about equivalent to performance under Windows; maybe a bit slower because of Rosetta.

 

I really have no idea what would be causing that problem. Maybe email Blizzard, although they don't give a f*** about Warcraft III anymore.

it's a video problem (divx codec)

try to rename the "movies" folder" to "movies2" or an other name, and retry.

For me it's works.

 

Hey, then you mean than i've than rename the movies folder? What movies folder, the OS X standard folder or other inside of the Warcraft folder?

I was reading this post about warcraft iii and i see your having problems with it so i decided to install just to test my self , My install went easy and when i started the game it ran just fine i even went on to battlenet and it updated itself also game works just fine here .

Wierd that you having to remove stuff i didnt have to remove anything glad its working for you now

 

Thanks curlyboy i removed the movie folder of the Reign of Chaos installation, but after i updated for The Frozen Throne everything worked without remove nothing.

I installed also Call of Duty 2 and it run like a charm.
