Are you saying that your video card WAS working with Titan? (if so, why did you switch to Natit?)

I see the 6800GS in Natit.kext:

 <key>0x0047</key>
											<dict>
													<key>name</key>
													<string>GeForce 6800 GS</string>
											</dict>

Do you have AGPGart installed? If so, do you have your Aperature set to 128MB in your CMOS setup?

What is the last thing bootup says when you do a verbose (-v) boot?

Need more information.

Not sure what you're saying - mind clarifying that?

You don't need AGPGart if you have PCI-E. What does system profiler say about your video?

I'd love to try and help you but I'm kinda pissed at some moderator here that deleted a post that explains this. I got my system working, and I reported what I had to do to fix it (which would have probably solved your problems here) and he deleted it. I could have walked away, with my working system, and never told anyone what needed to be done, but I wanted to help.

So the heck with it. Blame him.

I also have a 6800 GS and I get a kernal panic at boot if I install Natit (with the installer). Titan also causes a kernal panic. Like the other poster, if I don't use either, I get video, but it's not accelerated.

I'm using the JAS 10.4.8 Intel/AMD SSE2/SSE3 ppf1 ppf2 iso with an AMD RS482-M754 motherboard (ATI Xpress 200).

after installing osx i first have to delete the GeForce.kext and the NVdaresman.kext

otherwise the system will not boot. after deleting them i installed natit and it recognized my EVGA GeForce 6800 GS (device id: 0x000c0), but i have no qe/ci and no resolution change.

Can anyone help???

Solved for me, after install DONT REBOOT and then edit in your Ktext device ID.

Next reboot was safe mode fully working second boot was 100% perfect!

Editing the device ID device id 0x00c0 did not work.

I get loginwindow.app when I -v -x

Which file, Natit?

Also, where can I download the installed? I'm having the same issues as you guys, eVGA 6800GS PCI-E. Spent the last 2 days trying to get it to work with no luck.. And I just found this thread now :( [fingers crossed]

Also, I am running the 10.4.10 Tubgirl install, works perfectly otherwise.

I've got a 6800 GS 256 Mb from MSI working perfectly on a 10.4.9 OSX from uphuck with Natit, and before i've got the same configuration on a 10.4.8 from JaS with Titan also working Perfectly.

The only thing a was needed to do it's modify the kext GeForce.kext, NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV40HAL.kext with my vendor and device id on my first boot.

To do this, i boot with "-s" and then write :

/sbin/mount -uw /

cd /System/Library/Extensions

nano the_kext_name.kext/Contents/Info.plist

then change the right lines, CTRL+O

do the same for the 3 kexts

and finaly type:

reboot

After that, all is working perfectly.

I have the same card

Gonna try that device id along with natit .02 in a sec

What does QE/CI do?? :)

EDIT: Was only able to find one key after natit install.

geforce.kext

changed the ID, but not the FFFF one beside it is that ok??

Currently booting..

EDIT2: Ok that did nothing, so I editted natit.kext in the same way

Not working....

I got mine (PCI express version) working with Kalyway 10.5.1 (with his updates to 10.5.2). Used Nvinject 0.2.1 with manual kext edits. Check out the Nvinject forum for more info.

Could you please specify the exact brand/model of your 6800GS?

Cheers

eVGA PCI-e 256 MB

There should be a topic on the Nvinject forums that details everything, including the stuff I did to get it working. I may have also posted it in these forums.

The brand isn't important because when I edited the kexts, the vendor was set to Nvidia, not eVGA. What seems to matter is whether or not the card is AGP or PCI-e.

Can you please provide some links? - I've edited all related kext files (NV*.kext/Contencts/Info.plist) and while I'm able to get 1920x1200 resolution, I do not get QE/CI ;)
