I finally got a portable hdd and decided to put osx on it so I can avoid all the problems with partitioning my main hdd. So I did and my computer would not boot to it. So then I installed Acronis but it gives me an error when I try to boot to the OS. Something about Acronis not being able to boot because "The required partition cannot be found". The parition is there and all, but shows up with a red x on the icon in Acronis. Any help is appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cbmkgd Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 This is more of a OSX on external drive problem, encountered by some others. Grub had similar problem. I think it was BugsBunny and/or donh who had similar problems, and possibly solutions. Search the board for a similar problem. Try keywords "usb osx".
