Iksam
hi guys! i´ve just installed mac os (10.4.5) into a partition of an external HD and i can´t boot mac os. I´ve tried with grub, but it says "unit doesn´t exists". Mac partition is primary and it´s activated (see attached file). Any suggestion? Thanks a lot for all! BladeRunner
Is the external drive your only OSX system? If so, I don't know how to help you. If you had even a small partition with a darwin boot loader on your main hard drive then you should be able to boot your external system. To do that you would select the darwin loader - press F8 to get the darwin prompt and them enter "mach_kernel rd=disk1s1" <- assuming your external drive would map as your second drive and the system is installed in the first partition on that drive. Anyway, good luck in your efforts.
