LockDown
Im on Sierra 10.12.6. I recently updated all the updates available for it. One thing i noticed, my "recovery hd" now is at 10.13.3 (High Sierra). does apple update "recovery hd" whatever the latest is, even though im still running the previous version? Have you ever installed macOS High Sierra on your machine? Apple doesn't install anything unless you ask for it. If you installed macOS High Sierra and then just formatted the OS part of the hard disk and then reinstalled macOS Sierra that could be why you have the 10.13.3 Recovery partition.
LockDown
Have you ever installed macOS High Sierra on your machine? That did it! I have installed "fresh" High Sierra before and went back to Siera by just "cloning" it from my backup. Thanks for the info
