Hi everybody. I can't install my graphics card on my Hackintosh. I've tried several methods and no one of them work, when I go to the tab "About this Mac" it says on Display that I have a 3MB screen and I don't have 1920x1080 resolution.I'm a beginner here in the Hackintosh world so please be patient with me. Hope you can help me. Thank you. Also I'm uploading my Clover folder.

Hi there and welcome to InsanelyMac :)

What is the exact model of your AMD GPU?

In general you can use one of the following solutions to activate your GPU:

1. Use Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext you need to put them in your Clover folder inside the EFI partition under the "Kext Folders" in regard to the version of the macOS that you are using. This is the easies way. Remember you should not Inject ATI and a Framebuffer if you want to use Lilu and WhateverGreen solution.

2. You can use the RadeonDeInt=Ture if you have the Black Screen Issues (which is highly likely with AMD Radeon 7xxx Series, only few models don't have this issues)

3. Use a Patched DSDT or use a SSDT for your specific GPU model which needs more advanced skills.

P.S

You need to make sure that your GPU is supported in macOS otherwise it won't work with none of the solutions I just posted.

To determine whether it is supported or not you need to know the device ID for your GPU.

I've just searched the device ID and it's 683D , hope it'll help.

The good news is that the device id is present in AMDController7000.kext so you can use lilu and whatevergreen to have full support for your GPU. That’s the easiest way.

But look what I have just found on Clover, it recognises my gpu as an AMD Radeon HD 7790 , device id= 665C

Well I’ll have to check your efi folder to see why it is detected as 7790. But i’m on my phone right now.

Ok, I'm back.

To be honest your EFI folder is a mess

You have almost every kext available and I'm not sure why. Can you update your signature with your hardware specs so me and others can know what we are dealing with?

try this clover folder, just make sure you have a backup of your existing EFI folder before changing anything just in case.

It's better to use a bootable USB flash drive for these test.

Well, I,ve just booted from USB and I’ve seen on booting screen “failed to load executable kext AMD...” was too fast for me, and a couple more of errors saying “failed to load kext amd...”

I've opened it and clicked Cleanup, that's all?

EDIT: I've just seen on the top bar the program working , I'll wait. :D

Hi, unfortunately it didn’t work. What can we do?

Try this folder.

Since WhateverGreen didn't work we are going to use the second solution. Replace the Clover on your USB disk with this one.

I’m not in home now, in about 20 minutes I’ll be back. :)
