newbie here. Trying to learn from the bottom here. thx for the patience!

Just finished my first build..so glad it turned on!

Now having issues into getting Clover booting into my Sierra installer made following a 9to5mac youtube tutorial that used Clover EFI Bootloader

My hardware (same as 9to5mac build parts list)

Gigabyte z170x-Gaming 7

Skylake CPU

Evga 1080ti.

I am able to get Clover to load then able to select verbose and then boot macOS with selected options.  It starts to do its thing

then just reboots right back into the bios screen. Ive tried making a installer with 10.12.4 and now 10.12.6 thought it was a bad installer

i made but both still loops back. Would be more then happy to donate to the forum or anyone that helps!

thank you for replying. i will give it a try and report back

not sure if it matters i forgot to mention that i have 16x2 Corsair DDR4 Ram sticks.

Try to remove  OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi on Drivers64UEFI and try this one

deleted and put that attached efi in folder. same it will get to hibernate then reboot. was i suppose to rename it to OSxAptioFixDrv-64 also?

Just wondering,

Why did you go for 10.12.6? Why not High Sierra 10.13.2? :)

Also, it can sometimes be nice to upload the EFI/Clover folder, when needing help with installing. It is a good way for one to debug the problem, and to know what one can do to help further. :)

Thank you I didn’t think of that. Next time I will do so.

I’m fairly new to the scene but have gained lot of interest recently as a new hobby.

I wasn’t sure if high Sierra would be fully compatible with my system. Maybe that will be my next mission!

Hi,

Your system is fully compatible with High Sierra. I was just wondering why you chose Sierra, because I find peoples thoughts intriguing, when it comes to MacOS. Some people still prefer Sierra over High Sierra. :)

But since you got a Nvidia GTX Graphics Card, I suggest you always follow up on the Nvidia Web Driver releases. You wouldn't want to update or upgrade MacOS if Nvidia Web Drivers are not out for the MacOS version.

You can check the Nvidia Web Drivers Topic on InsanelyMac here:

Nvidia Web Drivers for MacOS High Sierra (10.13)

Nvidia Web Drivers for MacOS Sierra (10.12)
