Adrian Fogge Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Yep, 100GB is it for the limit for the 2.5" 7200 RPM drives, and that is due to the fact that it uses Perpendicular storage or else you would still be stuck at 80GB. I have been reading that the new drive technology that uses perpendicular recording actually yields faster read/write access times. Will benchmark and post. It shipped Thursday morning (for me at least, thursday evening for China) and Fedex said "Package received after FedEx cutoff" meaning that now it is still sitting in Shanghai even after a full business day in China... Not too thrilled about my month delayed system with overnight shipping not showing up until Tuesday when it left Apple's hands the previous Thursday.
