NosajTrah
I completed my first Hackintosh last week. I bought a used HP 6300 Pro SFF with Intel i5 3470, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD and Intel Integrated graphics. Updated the hardware to 16GB RAM, 120GB SSD and Geforce GT 710 2GB and followed online guides to install High Sierra. It was a success, even have iMessage and FaceTime working perfect. This is my production machine for my podcast and video editing. This 4-Core\4-Thread is working great but always want more power. Was thinking about getting the biggest CPU this motherboard can handle which is the i7-3770 4-Core\8-Thread. I see it going for around $200. On Amazon I found a HP Elite 8300 SFF with the i7-3770, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD and Intel Integrated for $299! I was thinking about buying this and upgrading it and installing High Sierra and wondering if I can follow the exact procedure for this one I did for the other? NosajTrah
Have you thought about upgrading the video card instead? RX 560? Want more CPU power, maybe will do video card in future. I was just wondering if the 8300 is done the same as the 6300? Sent from my P00C using Tapatalk
