Kintac
Well, I installed Darwin 8.0.1 without any problems. I have everything to try it out: application.tar mactel.tar, etc.zip, application.tar But there´s something wrong with tar. Well I want to untar everything. So first Darwin 8.0.1to8.1.0 patch tar xpvfz Darwinpatch First it unpacks some files but then errors occure: tar: Skipping on next header tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors Well, I thought the download was faulty, downloaded it, but again these messages. The problem is that I can unpack the package within windows with no problems at all. So I unpacked it within windows, made a zip out of it and wanted to unzip it within darwin. A zip error accoured saying that the zip file wan not properly packed. Well, I have never had problems with tar.gz Are there any problems with Darwin and tar, zip, ... ? Has anyone the same problems ? Btw, is it possible to unrar RAR files within Darwin ? Kin
