fraz7 Posted November 21, 2017 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Hi folks, Regarding updates for Snow Leopard, I've got the 10.6.8 Update v.1.1 - There are other updates after 10.6 - Is it important to have these incremental updates? - OR - Does 10.6.8 incorporate ALL updates after 10.6 into one big update that is called 10.6.8? - Thanks Just looking at some of these updates - 10.6.5 is 900 MB+ and is bigger than 10.6.8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The 10.6.8 Combo is 1.09 GB +/- whilst all the incremental updates from 10.6.1 thru 10.6.8 is greater than 1.09 GB - Is there anything to be gained OS wise from all the incremental updates versus going from 10.6 - 10.6.8 Combo? Maybe some things most people won't need such as support for devices ? - Just a query - The same files may have been updated in each version which would make the files larger as it would be essentially duplicated if you added all of the updates together.
