BSpot
Hi, Saving config.plist with this new version "corrupts" it some way that it breaks audio on Sierra 10.12.6 and X99-A motherboard. (AppleALC.kext & Lilu.kext- method). EDIT 9.11.2017 : Here is the problem isolated to this one "tag". see attachment.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/d2iounr39lpcsyh/Screen%20Shot%202017-11-09%20at%2015.34.22.png?dl=
Philip Petev
I wonder what CC might corrupt in such configuration. The AppleALC/Lilu combo doesn't require any patches through Clover, except maybe injecting the right audio layout ID, if your DSDT is not already patched for that. CC breaks sometimes configs that contain new options (introduced in Clover, but not included in CC yet), but that's completely different story.

sebinouse
CC adds severals options with it's own default value even if you deleted deliberately this option ! (I had the same issue with power management on haswell cpu several years ago)
cecekpawon
Wow, that would be definitely hurt the developer, so please stop saying that / complaining here without any specific reason. Till now, I believe he still anonymously crawling this site to keep synced with latest Clover changes which is totally hard + boring job, please give him some respect. He was a veteran too in this scene.. These program help lot of (new) clover users including me. Sending bugs report will help him a lot.. for sure. BTW I got this error while visiting his site:
chris1111
Its not compilcated using CC You need to used a config.plist in Desktop and open the config with CC doing what you have to do, Save then open with textedit or Xcodes and see if everything is correct If yes : change the config.plist in EFI Thats it I agree with you @celcekpawon

chris1111
You are advanced user not comparing with novices which can click buttons and think that the result is good. It is not. I know that sometimes CC erase completely a config.plist or do not make changes requested, it is for this reason that you should not edit a config in the partition EFI, must do it on the desktop and check before if the change are well done. that's what newbie must do to avoid surprises. Overall I do not know it's such a bad program EDIT** But are you using it or not at all? What do you use to make a config.plist more complex? cecekpawon
I know that sometimes CC erase completely a config.plist Who0o0o0o0ops.. Never happens to me in the past or Im just lucky? My best guess the program will erase whole content with bad/invalid formatted? Honestly idk, but Im pretty sure his shiny paypal donate button even cant buy him a legitimate domain instead of moving 1 to another free domain & hosting. That sad, & will be more because of this stupid thread. So I will repeat here, if we cant push the button that early mentioned, please give him some respect..

Xcode, Post#41 Property List Editor , or sometimes TextEdit. Commercial programs PListEditPro, BBEdit and others. Tea.exe in Windows.

This is great tool and Im using it a lot, but I was very angry after couple of hours troubleshooting to figure out that a new CC update was causing this. :/ Who0o0o0o0ops.. cecekpawon
EDIT 9.11.2017 : Here is the problem specified to this one "tag" (Newest) Clover can handle both old ("FixHDA_8000") & new ("FixHDA") key. Check here. I guess you are currently using new CC & old Clover, but I might be wrong

I guess you are currently using new CC & old Clover, but I might be wrong Yes, that would have been my next guess also. You are propably right. - ps. I think informing people about this issue is important since an average hackintosh user will probably google it first when problems arise. I have couple years of hackintosh experience but it was kind of coincidence that I did notice this audio problem (which would have been very hard to track back to CC update later on) right after updating to new CC version . Philip Petev
Those new "friendly names" were introduced in Clover r4282, so if your version was older than it, that's exactly what the case is: old Clover and new CC. In short: not CC's fault.
