piiggggg
When you try AppleALC, did you disable SIP? Also if you using AppleALC, you should use a clean install of macOS first. Since other methods may patch AppleHDA. And you should try other layout for your ALC298

piiggggg
Done it Sip on ElCapitan does not work right? Cause ive tried el capitan to but no luck SIP is like a firewall preventing you from un-signed kext like AppleALC.kext. You have to disable it in order to make AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext load. Also, you should change your layout number too, an audio codec may have many layouts and one of them may work perfectly with your system. I remember that someone has using ALC298 with AppleALC working
