Neo-Keledai
hello all! ( first srry for my eng. ) i've downloaded this "Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1].iso" iso, burned, but when i trying to boot, i've got this error message: "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist not found" My motherboard is Abit AB9 Pro [Intel® P965 / ICH8R Chipset], C2D E6400, 2GB DDRII 800Mhz, nv 7950GT, 1 DVD-ROM (PATA) prim. master, 1 DVD-RW (PATA) prim slave, 2 SAMSUNG SATA in RAID 0 (in Intel Matrix storage raid cont.). I do have experience similar to your question here. For me I think there are two 'things' might happens: 1. the DVD that you burned is defect 2. the DVD-ROM incompatible. For me, in the past I have experience error by both causes (with 10.4.6). And when I got new machine (laptop) and burned new DVD it works!. So if you have time and resources tried it other machine at least other DVD-ROM That's all Thanks

I tried update to the last version from the irc, but no change, and I update to 10.4.9 with the 8.9 kernel, but no luck, my system still hang with the message for restar. My hardware is in my sing if yo need other details just let me know. Thanks
Ferret-Simpson
Look I really want to find a head-against-wall emoticon now. There is NO POINT IN UPDATING TO 10.4.8. Go straight to 10.4.9 - it works perfectly well. Areos, get a really really big CPU cooler and put it on. That may well work.

wedra
Sorry, all... but i'm a bit confused. Is possible RAID 0 (stripe) configuration via ICH7 Intel in Intel Matrix Storage setup for OsX86 ? Again, exist HERE at least ONE REAL user of RAID 0 configurations in whichever RAID chipsets fully functional for OsX86 ? Thanks again.

pilsator
hello all! ( first srry for my eng. ) i've downloaded this "Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1].iso" iso, burned, but when i trying to boot, i've got this error message: "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist not found" My motherboard is Abit AB9 Pro [Intel® P965 / ICH8R Chipset], C2D E6400, 2GB DDRII 800Mhz, nv 7950GT, 1 DVD-ROM (PATA) prim. master, 1 DVD-RW (PATA) prim slave, 2 SAMSUNG SATA in RAID 0 (in Intel Matrix storage raid cont.). My main question is: my motherboard is compatible with Mac OSX86? 2. SATA RAID0 is supported? Watch the text messages during the boot process. At a certain stage there is a msg like "if you want to proceed hit any key". Then you have to.....hit any key. And don't wait too long or you end up with the error msg quoted above. You might find some info about OSX86 compitability of your board here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page cheers, pilsator
