cl1k
Attempting to install HS off USB installer (built in same way that worked with Sierra and El Capitan i.e. Enoch as boot loader + restore Base System, delete Packages alias, replace with Packages folder etc.), but getting this "can't perform kext scan: no kext summary" message, followed by "Attempting system restart...MACH Reboot". Is there a known fix for this? Maybe I missed a step putting the installer together (but I don't think so)
cl1k
Maybe there's a flag I should add to chameleon plist? Any thoughts? The plist that I'm trying with HS, since it works with Sierra, looks like this: <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>103</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>BlackMode=Yes -f</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(1,2)</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/SMBios.plist</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>1</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> The SMBIOS is iMac13,2

Guest ricoc90
Hm. Honestly, I switched to Clover when High Sierra DP1 was released... But if I recall correctly I got the same kernel panic if I'd boot Enoch with bootflag -f

How to put the mar patch on the usb stick with this method wile you don't have access to /system/library/privateframework/osinstal?
PippoX0
Hi, I didn't mess with mbr patch for High Sierra. 1) I have installed from USB Clover pen to another USB Pen GUID partitioned. (32 Gb usb pen) To get this working in Clover i have set FIX_HEADER enabled in ACPI Clover config.plist 2) When HS was installed on USB pen ( two reboot are needed because of first stage and second stage of installation), i have installed Fakesmc.kext, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, RealtekRTL8111.kext in /S/L/E and recreated Kernelcache i have installed also AppleHACIPort.kext vers.238 ( find here on download section of Forum) in /S/L/E, because HS didn't see my other OSX partitions on HDD with vers.239 ( the one from installation). 3) Then i have cloned HS from USB to a new partition ( 25 Gb) on MBR HDD with CarbonCopyCloner. I have copied /Extra folder from my Sierra partition to HS and then i have booted from Enoch. It works !! --------------------------------- Enoch USB install pen fixing Hi, i get some partial success in fixing USB Enoch installation pen. I have substituted PrelinkedKernel in USB /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels folder with the one which i have created/found in the installed High Sierra partition. Now USB Enoch installation starts without issue, but installation process stops with an error "unable to find /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg" I have to investigate more ....
