Intel HD5500 Sierra doesn't boot when check inject intel

Hi all,

 

I'm doing a mackintosh in a EliteBook 840 G2.

 

it has an Intel HD 5500 Graphics Card.

 

 

and I can't figure out how to make it work properly, when I check Inject intel on clover I get this loop below, it keep looping over these two different lines:

RTUSBWriteMACRegister: Offset = 0x1314 - Value 0x3030505

I've changed the ig-platform-id to 0x16160006 and now the system boots with Inject Intel but still not video acceleration.

Hi, try using ig-platform-id=0x16160002. Delete .dsl files in acpi/patched as they are useless. kext-dev-mode=1 hasn't been used since El Capitan.

Run IORegistryExplorer. Go to File -> Save As... and attach the file created.

I'm using ig-platform-id=0x16160006, the system doesn't boot with 0x16160002, I deleted .dsl and removed kext-dev-mode,

Yeah, you need to apply it only if you cannot change the dvmt in bios settings.

From your ioreg, it seems the broadwell's framebuffer is not loaded.

Check IORegistryExplorer, under IGPU.

Another way is to look at About This Mac -> System Report -> Graphics/Displays

In your case, it should load Broadwell framebuffer. Try rehabman's patches in his config.plist (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/config_HD5300_5500_6000.plist). Try them one by one and not all at once.
