i1sam
This is bad... i recently wipe out my hdd with the new kernel with fying colors... but i forgot to backup all my itune library... now when i mount my ipod it says something like it link to a diff library and give me the option to erase all my collections in the ipod to the empty itune library.. Is there a utility to copy all my ipod content back in itune7 and make it as the default library??? I followed the Apple advice on mounting 1st to the old machine.. but its wiped already.. Thanks a lot in advance

EPDM
You can also do it manually. There's a hidden directory on the ipod called ipodcontrol. This contains all the files (including music) required. The easieast way is to use a windows box (parallells perhaps)? to copy this directory to your computer (enable hidden view). Then make it visible (including subdirectories). Then drop this directory into iTunes.
