Was tempted a while back to get a Dell XPS 13/15 for this purpose, but i ended up getting the Lenovo Ideacentre Y910-27ISH AIO instead.

What a beast: Skylake i7-6700, 16G RAM, 256 SSD Samsung PM951 + 1TB WD Green 7200rpm, Nvidia GTX1070 8GB DDR5 (yea, the desktop one)...all behind a 27" 2560x1440 display running at 144Hz!

I swapped the internal 7200rpm drive with a Samsung EVO 500GB SSD and installed Sierra 10.12.6 on it. Dual booting with Windows 10 installed on the primary SSD. All managed via Clover from the UEFI boot on Samsung SSD.

What works:

- GTX1070 with webdrivers

- Ethernet (Killer Gigabit or something). I will not use cable, but eh0 needs to be enabled for Appstore to work.

- Bluetooth

- SD Card reader (not listed in system report -> card readers, but works just fine)

- 4x USB 3.1 & 2x USB 2.0

- Sound (ALC233)

- Microphone

- Shutdown

- Keyboard hotkeys for Vol+/- (VoodooHDA magic)

- Adjust screen brightness with up/down keys (well, kind of, using Shady app, because the Y910 doesn't have ambient light sensor)

What doesn't work (and i gave up for now)

- Killer wireless (i got an USB3 TPLink T4U which has own Mac drivers and works fine on 5GHz AC Wifi)

- Intel Realsense 3D camera (when i open facetime it turns on the camera but no image displayed)

What's still open (didn't give up for now:))

- Sleep (falls asleep and wakes up after 1-2 seconds. Tried all darkwake options & combinations but no success...). No ErP option in Lenovo's InsydeH20 BIOS :(

- Airdrop (managed to make it appear in Finder but i don't see the options below the radar to "make visibile to...." etc..)

I am attaching some shots. Feel free to ask if you're interested in this setup.

It's a damn fine machine, with desktop components..i've had help along the way from a guy who has much more experience in Hackintoshes than me, but this is how u learn.

Now for a very crucial detail regarding the resolution and fonts...

Like many hackintosh users, i was straight away missing the way OSX renders and displays fonts on its native 4K/5K displays. I tried several adjustments, command line hacks to modify the font smoothing values, anti aliasing values, etc....it improved a bit but still miles away from native "retina" HiDPI display. My 27" runs at 2560x1440 @ 144Hz...

Then i bumped into this amazing post, i thank the guy for his amazing work, maybe it helps u guys as well....i am attaching here how it looks at 1920x1080 in HiDPI mode. For me the font size is now perfect for the 27" size and looks exactly like a native Apple Display.

http://www.journaldulapin.com/2014/01/10/ultra-1440p-hidpi-and-mac-os-x-it-works/

Here i got the idea to create a custom resolution (5120x2880) which of course is not natively supported on my 2560x1440 screen, but...it will enable retina (HiDPI) with other modes below it, like 1080p in this case. I also created a 2560x1440 HiDPI profile but for some reason it looks like the non-native one. Will test more, but i think i hit the sweet spot with the 1080p one.

Then i used the tool in this link to create my own custom PLIST for my device:

Thank you x100 Bernhard! :)

I have the exact same PC (Lenovo AIO Y910 Gaming PC)

Can you share your configuration Detail (Clover Config Files and kext used)

I made a USB using ##### using Sierra (UEFI Option). But it gets stuck on apple logo.

If you can share some detail it will be very helpful
