... As soon as I select to boot from Tiger install DVD (Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 x86 (INTEL & AMD) SSE2 Patched.Bootable) the Apple Logo with a gray background is shown for a few seconds

and then the PC / Hackintosh goes to (instant) reboot .

If I type boot flags -x -f -v I can see it's still waiting for root device ;

What would be the boot flags, that most certainly should work ?

And what about the BIOS Settings / should I flash the BIOS with a modded one ?

I have a standard 200GB legacy IDE-HDD installed for this purpose only (should I partition it before trying to boot off the install DVD ?) .

Currently I have Yosemite installed on a Kingston 120GB SSD .

if I add cpus=1 as a boot flag the pc hangs at the boot screen, but nothing happens ... no HDD- / DVD-drive activity .

I've also tried PCIRootUID=0 and 1, npci=0x2000 and 0x3000, USBBusFix=Yes

The Specs :

Asus P5Q

8GB RAM

AMD Radeon HD 6450

Wired Mouse / Keyboard

Legacy IDE HDD Seagate 200GB 7200RPM
