marvelloard
Hi, my machine (see signature) sleeps and wakes up nicely, but sometimes I can't wake it up. Turns out that then it actually has shut down completely and is about to do a complete fresh boot.. I can't remember having this kind of issue so far, so if someone has any clue I would be very thankful..
Allan
To get a proper Sleep mode, your power management should be close to perfect. Read some of our guides that will help you fix that.
marvelloard
Thank you!I had a look at the guides, but I have no clue where to start. My Hackintosh runs fine using Clover and a DSDT I found for my EP45-DS3L. And most of the time it goes to sleep and wakes up again just fine. So, where do I start troubleshooting? Allan
Take a copy of your IOReg, config.plist, boot.log or your entire EFI/Clover folder, and post here.

marvelloard
Thank you, but you set my machine to MacPro3,1 which makes my system unbootable (Sierra)..
Allan
Oops sorry for that, I had confuse with my own OS X El Cap installation. I've do that to you get a good power management. Just change it, and keep the others modifications.
marvelloard
Alright I did so and it seems to get rid of some other nastinesses too, over all the machine works better now. So thank you a lot! But then I run in a new issue: After sleep my SATA Bluray-drive doesn't work properly. It wouldn't eject or read discs, some apps even report no usable drive found. After a reboot it works perfectly fine.. Sorry for the slow reply though, I didn't see your post earlier (the page didn't properly refresh somehow). Edit: Fiddling around with Clover I seem to have fixed the drive issue. There's one more issue left, but I need to troubleshoot myself first and then I will open a new thread since it's about sound. Thank you! Edit2: Finally I realised the DVD/BR drive issue was not a Clover thing, but it happened when I set the HDDs to power down in system preferences when idle. It even would happen within a couple of minutes after boot, not only after sleep or a long amount of time.
