Hi there,

Yes you can have macOS Sierra installed on your computer.

What seems to be the problem? Why you weren't able to install macOS?

thanks for reply cyberdevs,

i did install sierra on a separate SSD drive with a guide i found. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311964-guide-asus-p8z68-v-prointel-core-i5-2500k/

it is an old one and it is for yosemite.

what i did is used the latest ##### and ##### to help me with installation and o another guide it asking to flash the the bios with a moded one and do all these changes

Intel Speedstep Disabled
Intel Virtualisation Disabled
Limit CPUID Disabled
AHCI On
2nd Marvell Controller Off
Bluetooth Disabled
Asmedia USB 3.0 Disabled
Intel LAN Disabled
High Precision Event Timer On

EFI BIOS Priority

i could not find a moded bios for mac osx so i just kept the original one and did all the changes on the bios

i got sierra installed and then used ##### for sierra and here is my problem i'm not sure what to pick for my motherboard (audio, video, lan, ect)

i try to do what ever i know. i did install every thing and reboot the system, i does reboot but the help of the usb. and then reboot again and undo all the changes i did on the bios.

now i can not reboot to sierra with ssd drive or the usb help and i got stuck there so i boot back to my windows 10 again

and just to let you that i tried different ways to get this going based on other guides i fond on other forums and again all what i found is an older osx not sierra

thanks for your help in advance

Unfortunately the tools that you used for installing/post-install macOS on your pc are not supported by us and we can not discuss or support them. you can read the rules of InsanelyMac.com

However I can help you to make a clean install of macOS Sierra if you are interested. There is a link in my signature that you can read to get to know the aspects of installing macOS from scratch (If you like). It will you show you how to create a bootable USB disk and go forward with activating different parts of you computer.

For Audio you need to use AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext with proper Layout-ID 1 injection with clover.

For LAN you'll need to use IntelMausiEthernet.kext

For USB ports you'll need USBInjectAll.kext

You need to add these kext to /EFI/Clover/kext/10.12 or /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other

and for your GPU you need to add the nVidiaGraphicsFixup.kext to avoid the black screen issue on some SMBIOS's (like iMac17,1, iMac15,1 and MacPro6,1). You can also use  and install nVidia web drivers in respect to the build version of the macOS you are using; look here

If your BIOS gets reset you need to check the "Apple RTC" in your config.plist. You can use clover configurator to easily edit your config.plist

I hope you find these instructions useful.

hi cyberdevs

ok my friend I got the bootable USB disk done and I did mount the EFI partition on the desktop

and I did install clover 2.4k_4152 with these option

Untitled.tiff

Untitled 2.tiff

and now I'm stuck because the next step is to configure the config.plist with Clover Configurator to make my system work and that I'm not sure what to do. is this needs to be done before installing Sierra on my SSD drive for the first time, or this option has got done post installation so the changes on my config.plist will be saved on the SSD ( the main drive for Sierra ) /System/Library/Extensions

sorry man I'm not Mac wiz but I like the operating system and I love testing this become a challenge for me and I'm welling to learn I just need your patient with me

if you can help with next steps

I forget to tell you that I have ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card on my system and that what I'm using right now, but my on board audio works fine too so I can use the on board audio (High Definition Audio Device)

thanks again

Hi there this the the folder I used to boot and setup my P8H77-M LE the config is set to match your system's spec. Give it a try and let me know if it works.

Just one important tip!

On my Asus P8H77-L ME if I use RC Scripts it messes my system up it will freeze my boot process and I have to do a BIOS reset with clear CMOS jumpers on the board so do not use RC Scripts because it's not needed. Unless you run into trouble with your nVidia GPU and the web drivers.

hi cyberdevs, let me start by telling you what i did last night

I got the bootable USB disk

install clover 2.4k_4152 on the USB

options:

UEFI bootin

theme

EmuVariableUefi-64

OsxAptioFix2Drv-64

RC script on the target volume

and i did add all the kext to /EFI/Clover/kext/10.12 ( i just did copy and paste from my desktop )

                    AppleALC.kext

Lilu.kext with proper Layout-ID 1 injection with clover.

                    IntelMausiEthernet.kext

                    USBInjectAll.kext

                   nVidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

and it was a no go. i could not get the part installation done and this what i got:

thanks man :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

i know i'm a pain for you now with all these questions sorry man.

colver needs to be installed on the usb first and and on the SSD after installing sierra

now adding all kext i need for my system and configure the config.plist is that on the usb before installing sierra or on the SSD after finish intalling sierra?

and the folder you have (AEFI) how to use that folder and when before or after installing sierra?

thanks again for your help, :) :) :)

Hi there :)

The first picture is called Kernel Panic and it's usually happening when something is seriously wrong with the config.plist or other settings in the BIOS. Make sure you have SerialIO disabled in BIOS and also make sure that you have set BIOS settings correctly.

The second picture is because of the bootloader which is Clover. If the boot error is happening every time you try to boot from USB/HDD with clover you can remove the OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi and use the OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi.

Clover EFI bootloader can be loaded from EFI partition on each USB/HDD device you can easily copy/paste the EFI folder inside any EFI partition and it will make it bootable.

The folder I sent you is from my Asus P8H rig and it's set to use UEFI booting instead of Legacy booting so make sure that you have your booting options in BIOS to UEFI if you can. If you already have windows installed in legacy mode changing the boot options will affect your windows too so keep that in mind and if you are already using UEFI that's great.

The AEFI folder (AsusEFI this how I name my EFI folders in my archive along with a date or a Clover build number) is working OK with both the USB installer and the installed version of the macOS if you can successfully boot into macOS installer with my EFI folder you can use it to boot into Sierra after installation as well.

Getting macOS to work flawlessly on any given PC is a process with so many variables so it might take some time to get it fully working. We need to be patient in the process ;)

Let me know if you need more help ;)

Hi cyberdevs,

I'm back batteries recharged and fresh again

i got started with this project by deleting my windows installation because it was installed as legacy boot, and i installed a fresh copy of windows 10 as UEFI boot

i did use your folder to replace the efi folder and on my first try it was a no go and then and i did i couple of changes to my bois ( disabled Bluetooth and asmedia usb 3.0) and at last I'm in installation screen for Sierra. i got sierra installed on my 120 gb SSD and sierra started and this what i got

video looks ok but not fully right because for example when i open itunes and maximize the screen the whole screen start flickering for about 5 sec and it stops and when i move my mouse it does the same thing again.

audio working fine

network it is not working at all

so i installed clover on SSD with sierra installation on, but i did not boot to sierra again because i need it use windows.

so that all i did so far, now what should i do to fix the network problem and the video problem

thanks in advance :) :) :)

Hi there and welcome back :)

I hope you enjoyed you vacation ;)

Well if your video has no acceleration you need to install nVidia web drivers according to your macOS Sierra build version did you do that?

for ethernet use this kext. copy it inside /EFI/Clover/kext/10.12 or /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other and see if that makes a difference

thanks man, I did it was much need it vacation :thumbsup_anim:

ok for the nVidia web drivers is there a method of doing it or just download  and install

and for lan I do not need to put this kext /EFI/Clover/kext/10.12 or /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other on the USB?

but on the SSD where my Sierra is installed

You can add the kext in either the USB disk or the disk you just installed macOS on.

You can also copy the whole EFI folder of the USB disk in the EFI partition on your HDD and it will make your HDD bootable as well.

this is my first post from my new hackintosh thanks to my friend  cyberdevs for all the help so far

I got lan to work audio is good the only problem now is the video still not working good (no acceleration) I did install the web drivers but that give me the black screen at boot.

so at reboot I choose Mac OS X Sierra and I pressed the space bar and tick the Nvidia disable=1 and I also ticked use web driver and that is how I got back to Sierra but with the crappy video problem.

That's great :)

Send me your config.plist that is working and I will add a fix for your black screen issue.

You can also use Lilu.kext and nVidiaGraphicsFixup.kext to avoid the black screen issue.

I just add it to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other to both USB and the SSD and video is working  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:  :thumbsup_anim:

So all set :D

Congrats  :thumbsup_anim:
