pianoguy
I cant paste anything in 10.13 when trying to copy and paste. "Paste" is always greyed out, and pressing command V does nothing either.
Allan
Try repair the disk permissions, and rebuild the cache.
pianoguy
Sometimes, they Win(CMD) and Alt keys are reversed. If Paste option is greyed out and CMD-V does nothing, it's most likely because nothing has been copied with CMD-C... Try Alt-C or Edit->Copy in Finder's bar. Then check your key functional attributions and swap through Keyboard PrefPane if required. I tried all the suggestions mentioned and none worked. I even made a clean High Sierr install to make sure it was t some software I had installed, and the issue is still there. Copy and paste doesn't work through any method, not even by "copying" and "pasting" form the edit menu. It has to be either High Sierra (although nobody else has mentioned this issue) or something with my clover config or Kexts.
thefiredragon
I had this issue also, I think it's a issue with the filesystem. After reinstalling I can paste. (I note this after install some scripts for my uhd display.)
pianoguy
It certainly ain't a High Sierra issue. its only happening on high sierra, and with every keyboard i have. I even did a fresh install to rule out some software conflicts. Its either high sierra or my clover setup, but ive never heard of a clover setting or kext causing "no paste". pianoguy
I had this issue also, I think it's a issue with the filesystem. After reinstalling I can paste. (I note this after install some scripts for my uhd display.) you mentioned something about script for a uhd display. I also installed the mac pixel clock v2 patch. Maybe that is it? I will reinstall again. Actually, if someone is on 10.13 public beta 17A315i, can you give me your vanilla coredisplay.framework? Its in system/library/frameworks . Reinstalling would be a huge pain because I have an NVME, so I would have to clone my drive to a normal drive, remove my NVME drive, reinstall over the normal drive to get vanilla files again, and then clone to NVME. sailor25462
I also have this issue all of a sudden after installing the High Sierra 17A405 supplemental update. I had to do it manually (not via App Store) as I'm using a fusion drive and App Store path killed my installation. I tried all various think, inclusive rebuild the kernel cache and permissions, but nothing helped, yet. Before restoring (again) form my time machine back-up, any ideas? (update) finally done. Had to roll back from time machine, used superduper! to copy the system to a mother hdd, updated there and used smart copy to put the files back to my fusion drive. jTemplar
I've being having the same issue of not able to paste into Pixelmator (admittedly old version 1.6.7) since I moved to a new MacBook which suggested I upgrade to High Sierra. I've trialled the new version of Pixelmator and that pastes fine but since I don't do a lot of graphic work, and a cheapskate, would like to continue using the old version. I've tried installing the CoreDisplay.framework posted above to no avail - any suggestions other than cough-up the dough?
