Merconda
Hello all, Just wondering if it would be possible to use an update dmg file, along withe same version pkg file, to create installer? Tks, Merconda
Cyberdevs
If I understand correctly you want to use let's say 10.12.4 installer and then install the 10.12.6 update on it and then boot from it?
Merconda
Not exactly. I don't have access to a Mac, PC or Linux only. Cannot access Mac store files from a PC, but have been able to download update: macOSUpdCombo10.12.4.dmg (~2gb) and .pkg jze1425880974225146329.pkg (~4gb), and pfpkg file from Apple via direct download links. .pkg file is not standard xar format and can't be unpacked. Am trying to make bootable installer for 10.12.4.

Am trying to make bootable installer for 10.12.4. Nope it won't work. For a creating a bootable disk you need to have the full installer. Even if you can but from it the installation won't work it will fail. But if you do have the full installer for (jze1425880974225146329.pkg - I don't know what that is) look here it might help: http://www.intowindows.com/create-macos-sierra-bootable-usb-drive-from-windows/
