Laggy Mouse

Hi there

Hoping I can pick the brains of people more intelligent than me.  I have got Sierra up and running and everything seems to be working to an acceptable standard, with one exception.  My mouse occasionally lags and stutters.

I cannot seem to find a concrete way to replicate the problem, it seems random.  My suspicious would be something related to the USB bus, but I may be wrong.

FYI, running through USB I have:

 - Wired USB keyboard

 - Wireless Logitech mouse

 - Soundblaster Omni USB soundcard

I am running the keyboard and mouse through an Anker USB 3.0 hub. The sound card runs through a different port on the back of the computer.

Hopefully someone has some ideas?  Let me know if any information/diagnostics/technical stuff would help.

Many thanks.

I am not sure for certain but I think whatever you did may have helped.

I have been using the computer for an hour or so today and it hasn't lagged; unless it has done it and I have not noticed!

Would be interested to know what you did!

Thanks.

EDIT:  Actually scrap that - I think the lag is still present to a degree;  however I only realised just now that the ethernet port I was using had stopped working.  I was connected by WiFi before realising.

I thought I had been using the Intel ethernet port but according to Network Utility it is actually the Atheros I WAS using and now I have moved over to the Intel port.
