Ok, so I have a late 2009 iMac 27".  I cannot afford to drop a few thousand on a new iMac right now, but I have a question.  I was able to increase the vRam on my MBP to 2048 (AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB, Intel HD Graphics 3000 2048 MB) using the information from this page (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/how-to-increase-vram-for-hd3000-graphics.1766384/). I am wondering if a similar type of command will allow me to increase the vRam on my iMac?  The current configuration is:
2.8ghz Intel i7
20 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB

I do a lot of 3D rendering using Fusion 360, and the graphics card on my MBP workds great, but I like the larger screen when working at home.  Has anyone got an idea on how to do this?  They said it wasn't possible, but they said the same thing about the MBP.

If I have to buy a new card I will, but would rather just keep saving for a new iMac.  Unless there is a 2GB card available for the iMac.

Thanks

Darren
