Shutdown and sleep don't work

I'm having issues with shutdown and sleep. My computer doesn't fully go to sleep (screen goes black but power led on PC stays on) and a shutdown results in a reboot.

My system:

 • macOS Sierra
 • Asrock H61M-GS motherboard
 • Intel Core i5-2300 CPU (Sandy Bridge)
 • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti
 • UEFI boot
 • USB 2 only

I tried the following things without success:

 • NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
 • EvoReboot.kext
 • FixShutdown flag in clover
 • About any BIOS config setting combination imaginable
 • Patched SSDT using ssdtPrGen.sh
 • Tried multiple model identifiers including Sandy Bridge models

Any help would be appreciated, it's the only thing still not working....

First of all, thanks a lot for the effort gengik84! I really appreciate it.

I deleted all fixes from the Clover config.plist, and also those two kexts. I have de SSDT generated with Piker's tool in ACPI/patched together with the DSDT you provided. Unfortunately the system still reboots after shutdown. :(

Any other ideas?

In the terminal type:

                                sudo pmset -a HibernateMode 0
sudo rm / var / vm / sleepimage
sudo mkdir / var / vm / sleepimage

Rebuild Caches and restart

No luck. I'm doing a reinstall now without #####, as some people in the chat are suggesting.

Problem was caused by ALXEthernet.kext, which I replaced with AtherosL1cEthernet.kext. This solves the problem, although the new kext is a bit less stable (downloads get interrupted) Thanks all for the help.
