macos Sierra or High Sierra with nVidia GT610

Dear members,

I've been using hackintosh almost 2 years now but still on El Capitan because it supports nVidia GT610 natively.

I'm still unable to use Sierra or High Sierra (latest public beta) with GT610. I've searched lot of forums online and found that GT610 doesn't support Sierra or High Sierra for hardware acceleration and hence the display is not proper as it should be like on El Capitan where it just works fine.

Could anyone please let me know if GT610 can be made to work with either Sierra or High Sierra with hardware acceleration? Below is my system configuration.

Core i5-4460

24 GB RAM

nVidia GT610

120 GB SSD

Many thanks.

Hmmb, AFAIK... GeForce 610 is similar to GT 520 on this case (Fermi: GF119), I've tried a lot since last year and found it to works with Sierra 10.12.5 using Nvidia Web Driver 378.05.05.05f01. On High Sierra 10.13 Beta it also works natively, start with 17A291j (Beta 2). But on two OS versions above, this Fermi Graphics lack on non-Native Display resolution. Means, if u try changing it (for example) from 1366x768px to 1024x768px or similar; it'll become hang immediately (same case if u kill WindowServer from System Process). Other issues which also cause graphics fail are "Enabling NightShift, Change Display Color Profile, Invert Colors & Test Screen Flash (Accessibility)", thus some games that force to change display resolution also cause similar problem.

For enabling it, just as @chris1111 has said above; is by checking Inject Nvidia (InjectNvidia=true) using Clover, or GraphicsEnabler=Yes using Chameleon / Enoch, or by patching ur GFX0 within DSDT using @Rehabman's repo. To be honest, with ton of bugs above I suggest U stick with 10.11.x and below, or waiting for Apple & Nvidia to fix this (the last one I'm really not sure when? Just ask them  ) Desktop user, no worry.. since it's changeable I guess :LoL. Good luck.

Thank you for all the replies :)

I will stick to El Capitan as of now but will wait until the final release of high Sierra to see if gt610 is supported natively else will make a jump with new card. I have now installed the high Sierra beta in a vm.

Thanks again.
