JasonC
Now just try the config i posted above with my CLOVER folder. config didn't really seem to change much/anything noticable
CoreyMoreTech
reinstall clover from scratch, either copy the files from the t420 guide or use the installer, delete/rename your old clover folder though, prevent cross contamination. I'm using Chameleon with MBR, not Clover.

CoreyMoreTech
No sorry, Only ever used Clover as a bootloader. I switched to Clover and can confirm, using the exact same settings, that it doesn't work for me either. This is a huge shame as I have never gotten this far and would hate to fail once again. PippoX0
If you got only 3mb of RAM that is because graphics kexts are not loaded . Check your Intel Hd3000 ID May be 0x01128086 or 0x1168086 , Then modify plist inside kexts to mach the same id. Cheers

PippoX0
Ok your Id is 0x01268086. 1) copy AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext to desktop. 2) Modify info.plist inside these two kexts to add 0x01268086 id 3) reinstall kexts with kext utility back to S/L/E. and reboot. Thank you, oh holy one. I realized my distro didn't have those kexts, I found some at: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/2011-intel-hd-3000-macbook-pro-1024mb-vram-kext-work.1977308/ They already have the device IDs in them so no need for modding, just installed with kext wiz and it worked. :ihw_wow: :ihw_wow:

SavageAUS
I suggest now that you know how to fix your graphics you start fresh, clean install, updated clover, updated kexts. Use ssdtprgen for power management. AppleALC.kext + Lilu.kext for sound. Correctly disassemble your acpi files and patch them where needed then compile them. You could also start with a new config.plist from RehabMan for HD3000 1366x768. These are my recommendations, you don't have to but seeing as you followed an out dated guide for the wrong laptop it's best to start over. Edit. I see in previous comments you said your "distro" what are you using? Best install method is a USB created with createinstallmedia then install clover to the USB. Use a real mac or working hack to download the installer, not a distro. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I'm having the same issue with my Lenovo Thinkpad E520 (Core i5 2430m) I have to boot with a fake graphic id and had to inject a custom EDID table. Without the fake id I get either a black or white screen after seeing a gIOScreenLockState. Where in the info.plist would I add the id? Also I am using XCode because otherwise the formatting gets messed up and I lose settings that were added. EFI.zip
